Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is a remake of Super Street Fighter II Turbo, developed by Backbone Entertainment for Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. It has brand new graphics with high resolution 2D sprites in High Definition courtesy of Udon comics, a rebalanced mode of various character changes, and other modern features. Tournament level players such as David Sirlin were overseeing the project through its game play changes to make more of the characters usable, especially low-tier characters, such as changing commands of certain moves for easier inputs, the amount of damage, and some new moves such as Ryu's fake Haduoken and Bison's fake slide. A beta of the game's online mode was released in the summer of 2008 if players bought Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3. This online beta's purpose is to test the net code as only Ryu and Ken were playable in Ryu's stage. During this beta test, it was patched especially to update Ken since his Shoryuken juggles were broken and from an older build. The beta lasted the whole summer, but more characters were playable at various Capcom events like the Street Fighter Club at Los Angeles in July and New York City in October, which had everyone playable. SSFIIT HD Remix was released on November 26, 2008 on Xbox Live Arcade and the day before on Playstation Network for 15 dollars (1200 Microsoft Points).
