Bethesda stands for something important, something that other developers have yet to emulate. The studio's masterminds have perfected the art of giving true freedom to the player. You do not get "moral choices" in the sense of games such as Mass Effect, rather, you have the opportunity to create a life in the rich world of Tamriel - a life of your own choosing. And that is debatably the best sort of choice. From a scale of epic scope, to the immense detail of Cyrodiil's minutiae, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion epitomizes the idea of a role playing experience. |
