So my xbox red ringed last week. After going through the rainbow of emotions associated with such a tragic event, I went about getting it fixed. Unfortunately my xbox fell out of warranty (it's one of the old white ones) and I wasn't about to fork over 120 dollars to Microsoft. After extensive research (aka google), I located a store nearby that fixes red ringed 360's. After a week of laziness, I was about to set off and get it fixed this afternoon. Out of curiosity I turned on my 360 one last time. It worked as if nothing was wrong. I left it on for 10 minutes, it was still working. At this point I'm not sure if someone used crazy voodoo magic to repair my xbox in time for Dragon Age 2 or if my xbox is playing cruel mind games with me and will crap out again. Have anyone else had this happen? Advice is welcome.

My 360 has done this to me before and it took around 1-2 weeks to redring again.

Yeah, its gonna crap out again. Mine did the same thing.

Honestly, if it lasts this week, I'll be happy. If I can beat Dragon Age 2, then have it die, I will be happy.

When you get 3/4 red rings, your Xbox isn't broken, this essentially means it has cancer and it only has so long to live.

@Colonel_Fury: get it fixed, I got mine fixed last week for 23bucks with warranty

@Stefan:  Mine is out of warranty. Microsoft wanted 120 for me to send it in and fix it. Apparently I'm also out of a "service area" :/

@Colonel_Fury: I got mine repaired by some dude on ebay. However it also broke down twice during the warranty time but was just exchanged back then. So I am still on my 2005 model.

Mine red ringed once and I started to freak out til I saw that it was only one light instead of three. Just turned out the power brick cable was a little loose.
