DENVER – Middle Tennessee head women’s basketball coach Rick Insell will be one of seven panelists at a Title IX panel Saturday morning at the NCAA Women’s Final Four in Denver. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to Noon Mountain time in Tourney Town.

Blue Raiders end season at 26-7
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee put the pressure on host Vanderbilt early in the second half, forcing a 28-28 tie, but the Blue Raiders were unable to hold on in dropping a 60-46 decision to the Commodores Sunday evening in the NCAA Tournament First Round inside Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tenn.

MT set to face Vanderbilt on ESPN2 at 4:10 p.m.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women’s basketball team will make its 15th NCAA Tournament appearance when it travels the short distance to Nashville, Tenn., to battle Vanderbilt in First Round action at 4:10 p.m. Sunday live on ESPN2. The Blue Raiders, the No. 10 seed in the Fresno Region, and the Commodores, the No. 7 seed, are meeting for the first time since 1992.

One of six nominees from Region 4
ATLANTA – Middle Tennessee’s Ebony Rowe was selected as one of six players to the Region 4 Team as nominees for the 2012 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s All-America Team it was announced Thursday by the WBCA. On Monday, the selection committee will review the 52 overall candidates and trim the list to 40 finalists, all of whom will be in the running for the selection to the 10-member WBCA Division I Coaches’ All-America Team.
