Former Blue Raider captures second title in last three years
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. - Former Blue Raider Karisa Akin won the 86th Annual Women’s Kentucky State Amateur on Friday at the Elizabethtown Country Club. Akin defeated April Emerson by a stroke to capture her second title in the last three years, as she also won the event in 2010.

Two finish in top 10
ONEONTA, Ala. - Ashley Haggard finished in a tie for sixth, and Karisa Akin ended in 10th, but it wasn't enough as the Middle Tennessee women's golf team carded a 24-over 312 in the third and final round on Tuesday to finish just one stroke out of first place at the Samford Intercollegiate at Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta, Ala.
