Know your Blue Raiders: Emily Jorgenson and Paige Terlizzi

This week's final edition highlights freshman defender Emily Jorgenson from Overland Park, Kan., and freshman midfielder Paige Terlizzi from Las Vegas, Nev.

Q: What are your favorite hobbies?

A: Riding bikes and I like to paint.

Q: What led you to decide to come to Middle Tennessee?

A: My sister Whitney goes to MT so that's how I knew about it. I also loved campus and it was a good distance from home, which is what I wanted.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your hometown?

A: There are so many things that I love about Kansas! It is so nice coming home after being away. I love that Kansas has four seasons.

Q: Who has made the biggest influence in your life?

A: My parents. I am who I am because of them.

Q: What are your goals for this season?

A: Personally to become a better soccer player and be able to make a difference on the field. As a team our goal is to win the Sun Belt Conference.

Q: Who is your celebrity crush?

A: Ryan Gosling, Christiano Ronaldo and Liam Hemsworld.

Q: What is your hidden talent?

A: I can clap with one hand

Q: Who is your favorite cartoon character? Why?

A: Jerry from Tom and Jerry. He is the cutest little mouse and he is so clever. Even when he gets caught by the mean cat Tom he always finds a way to get out of it.

Q: What is your favorite dessert? 

A: Triple Chocolate Meltdown from Applebee's. Best thing I've tasted in my life! 

Q: If you could visit any country in the world, which would it be?

A: New Zealand

Paige Terlizzi / Midfielder / Redshirt Freshman / Las Vegas, Nev.

Q: What are your favorite hobbies?

A: My favorite hobbies are doing triathlons, kayaking, and going to the beach with my family

Q: What led you to decide to come to Middle Tennessee?

A: The reason I choose MTSU was because they have a great communication disorders program and because of the soccer team

Q: What is your favorite thing about your hometown Las Vegas?

A: My favorite thing about my hometown is that you can always find something to do and I also like how everything stays open all the time. It is also beautiful to see the lights of the strip at night!

Q: Who has made the biggest influence in your life?

A: My mom and dad are the biggest influences on my life. I am the person I am today be because of them.

Q: What are your goals for this season?

A: My goals for this season are to be able to contribute to my team winning the conference tournament and to score a lot of goals!

Q: What is your favorite TV show?

A: My favorite TV show is Glee. A lot of girls on my team also like Glee, so every Thursday night we have a Glee watching party!

Q: Who is your celebrity crush?

A: I have a celebrity crush on Chris Evans. Chris Evans played Captain America in the movie Captain America: The First Avenger.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant?

A: My favorite restaurant is Enzo's. It is in Las Vegas in the Venetian Hotel. It is just this little pizza and pasta shop, but they have the best pizza and the best garlic knots in all of Vegas! Every time I go home I always have to go there and eat!

Q: What is your favorite place on earth?

A: My favorite place on earth is a little back cove in Mt. Charleston. My mom and I decided to explore one day in the mountains and we found this little cove that has a wonderful waterfall and it is always cool! She and I would always go up there and just spend time just relaxing and getting away from the Vegas heat.

Q: What is your favorite weird food combination?

A: My favorite weird food combination is apples, Cheez-Its, and Italian dressing. I know it sounds disgusting but it is amazing!
