Patterson leads Raiders at Jerry Pate

Brett Patterson tied for 15th at the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate on Tuesday.

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. - The Middle Tennessee men's golf team completed play at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate Tuesday. The Blue Raiders shot a 308 on the par-70 7,204-yard Old Overton Golf Club to finish with a 54-hole total of 900.

Middle Tennessee finished 10th overall while host No. 9 Alabama won the tournament with an 857 total. No. 5 Florida was second with an 861 followed by No. 40 Auburn, No. 26 UNLV, and No. 28 Clemson.

Junior Brett Patteson pace the Blue Raiders by tying for 15th with a 219 cumulative score. Patterson carded a final round 72 that included four birdies.

Sophomore Payne Denman tied for 36th with a 226, while Andrew Cho was 42nd with a 227.

Lucas Armstrong had a 229 and tied for 45th while Dane Voss came in tied for 51st after posting a 234.

The Blue Raiders will play their final tournament of the fall season on Oct. 22-23 in Kennesaw, Ga., in the Pinetree Intercollegiate.
