KENNESAW, GA - Middle Tennessee, playing its first golf match in three years without Brett Patterson, shot a 593 total for 36 holes today at the Pinetree Invitational on Monday. The Blue Raiders are in third place at the Pinetree Country Club course (par 72, 7,108 yards).

It was learned late last week that Patterson would be lost for the season due to an elbow injury. The two-time all-conference performer and 2011 U.S. Open participant will redshirt and have two years left to play.

Host Kennesaw State owns the 36-hole lead with a 5-under par, 571 total followed by Ball State in second with a 583. The Blue Raiders are in third after registering a 593 with Louisiana Tech and Troy rounding out the top five.

Lucas Armstrong had rounds of 72-76 for a 148 total and is tied for 11th overall, while Jordan Jennings carded a 150 and is tied for 18th. Jennings shot a 1-under 71 in round two.

Freshman Drake Duncan opened with a 78 but fired a 73 in the second round and is tied for 28th.

Andrew Cho rebounded from a tough opening round to shoot a 1-under par 71 in the second 18 and is tied for 34th.

Payne Denman is tied for 41st with a 155 score.

The Blue Raiders will play the final round on Tuesday to conclude the fall season.
