Glen Elarbee, who played on Middle Tennessee’s first FBS team in 1999, begins his first season on Rick Stockstill’s staff where he will coach the offensive guards and centers. Elarbee is in his second stint for the Blue Raiders after being the tight ends coach for MT in 2005.

Elarbee, who has won a national championship as part of the LSU staff and served two years on the staff at Oklahoma State, spent the previous two years at West Georgia. At West Georgia, Elarbee was the offensive line coach and offensive coordinator.

Before a brief stint as director of football operations at Toledo in 2010, Elarbee spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons as an offensive graduate assistant at Oklahoma State.

Prior to OSU, Elarbee worked as an offensive graduate assistant for LSU in 2008 and was part of the Tigers’ BCS National Championship staff.

In 2006, Elarbee worked as the offensive line coach at East Central Community College in Decatur, MS, and also doubled as the programs recruiting coordinator.

After a brief stint as offensive line coach at Texas A&M-Commerce; in Spring 2005, Elarbee returned to the Blue Raiders in a full-time role to oversee the tight ends.

A native of Carrollton, Georgia, Elarbee played in 35 career games at Middle Tennessee, started the last 23 in a row, and earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior. A four-year letterman from 1999 to 2002, Elarbee had the distinction of playing on the first Sun Belt Conference Championship team in 2001.

Noted for being one of the most improved players during his career, Elarbee led the Blue Raiders in snaps played as a senior with 735 while also recording 91 knockdowns.

Elarbee played his prep football at Central High School in Carrollton and was a first team all-state selection and team MVP for Coach Bill Bailey.

After completing his bachelor’s degree in Math from Middle Tennessee in 2002, Elarbee joined the Blue Raiders staff as a graduate assistant and worked in that capacity for two years. He completed his master’s degree in Sport Management at Middle Tennessee in 2004.

Elarbee is married to the former Holly Coatney.
