A woman who took a metal-lined bag to Ealing Broadway shopping centre pleaded guilty to going equipped for theft. Ealing magistrates heard how Helen Mary Martin, 31, of Pellant Road, Fulham, admitted knowing that the bag would allow her to pass undetected in and out of stores with magnetic security tagged goods inside. Martin, unemployed, was granted bail until 30 June for pre-sentence reports.
