Taking part will be: Ciaran Carson, Maura Dooley, John Fuller, Stephen Knight, Adrian Mitchell, Alice Oswald, Christopher Reid and Susan Wicks. The ICA hosts a conference on the work of social scientist Anthony Giddens to mark Routledge's publication of the four-volume Anthony Giddens: Critical Assessments. The conference is chaired by Melvyn Bragg and Baroness Tessa Blackstone, and participants include Will Hutton, Juliet Mitchell, Prof Geoffrey Weeks, Ulrich Beck and John Gray, with a speech by Prof Giddens himself.
