Fiorentina winger Valon Behrami hopes to see Alberto Aquilani join the Serie A outfit this summer.

The Florence outfit have been strongly linked with a move for the Italian midfielder, who is under contract with Liverpool until June 2014.

"Aquilani is the right player to bring back the enthusiasm of the Fiorentina fans," said Behrami to Corriere dello Sport. "He would be very useful to the team.

"Aquilani has great quality."

Aquilani, who spent last season on loan at Juventus, wanted to remain in Italy but received no suitable offers despite making 33 league appearances for the Turin outfit.

The 26-year-old has also been linked with Sunderland and AC Milan this month.
