Jeff Bridges returns as The Dude for Stella Artois advert

Jeff Bridges has returned as The Dude – for Stella Artois’ Super Bowl advert.

Earlier this month, the actor teased playing the iconic character from The Big Lebowski once more, but no further details were revealed other than it was a Super Bowl tie-in.

Turns out, the famous White Russian drinker has been brought back to promote a beer. Sarah Jessica Parker also makes a surprise appearance in the advert. She reprises her Sex and the City role as Carrie Bradshaw, who was a renown drinker of cosmopolitans.

The advert comes as part of the #PourItForward campaign from Stella Artois, which sees the company team up with the charity Water.org to provide clean water for those without. The company says $3.13 from every Chalice sold will go to providing clean water from someone.

One of the co-founder’s, Hollywood actor Matt Damon, said of the partnership: ”Our partnership with Stella Artois has enabled us to help millions.

“By bringing the global water crisis to a stage as big as the Super Bowl — and with a little support from friends like Jeff Bridges and Sarah Jessica Parker — we hope to reach even more.”

The advert begins with Bradshaw walking into a bar and ordering a Stella Artois, surprising a waiter who drops their tray. Bridges enters soon after and orders the same beer, startling the waiter again.

The pair sit down at adjacent tables, with Bridges saying: “Well, changing can do a little good.”
