Subtitles deal with Tom Hardy's impenetrable voice as deranged villain Bane, a minor hitch in Christopher Nolan's satisfying Batman send-off. It's eight years on from Harvey Dent's demise and the Caped Crusader (Christian Bale) is out of the superhero game, holed up in his mansion with a dicky knee and his rheumy-eyed butler (Michael Caine). The "good people" of Gotham have been duped into thinking he's a fiend. We know better. Look out for Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, below, and some sensational setpieces.
