Arsenal will be hoping to secure their progression into the next round of the Champions League against their German opponents, knowing they need just a point to qualify.

Defeat at the Emirates may result in the Gunners having to secure a point in their final game away to Galatasary if Anderlecht win their group game against the Turkish side.

Dortmund have already secured their place in the knockout stages with a 4-1 win over Galatasaray last time out but will be hoping to progress as group leaders. Despite winning all four of their group games in Europe, a torrid start to the Bundesliga sees them currently third bottom, with just 11 points from 12 games and an incredible 19 points between them and leaders Bayern Munich.

Arsenal’s domestic title challenge hasn’t had the greatest start either, with the Gunners currently sitting eighth having suffered a disappointing loss at home to Manchester United on Saturday.

Both sides will be hoping to banish their league woes with a confident progression into the knockout stages of the Champions League.
