"I have this strange memory as a child – perhaps I was four or five – and I was opera-singing in the garden." It paid off. The Italian soprano has just made her Royal Opera House debut singing Mimi in its current production of La Bohème. She lives between London and Avellino, in southern Italy. This autumn she makes her New York Met debut as Leonora in David McVicar's Il Trovatore.
