Yet, the good news of Wakanda doesn't quite seem to have reached everyone. Which is exactly where Jimmy Kimmel's Lie Witness News segment took its advantage, taking to the streets to trap the clueless into sharing their opinions on the current political "crisis" in fictional African nation. Is it time to bring the US troops home from Wakanda? Should the US be in Wakanda in the first place? What are people saying about the crisis in Wakanda?

“I think we need a strong [military] presence there,” was one bystander's response. “I definitely support our troops. So, if they’re in Wakanda, they have a reason to be there.”

Another pressing issue: should Wakanda be forced to share their vibranium? It may the material behind Captain America's shield, but it's also (apparently) the only thing fuelling America's fidget-spinners and golf carts. Or what about the vicious Twitter war between Donald Trump and King T'Challa?

And, to finish with an irony cherry on top, one woman was asked whether a movie based on Wakanda's current events would be popular. "People don't want to see it," she responded. She'll be in for a shock the next time she steps into a movie theatre.

The first solo outing for Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa, the titular hero, Marvel's latest traces the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War's events; T'Challa now returns home to Wakanda, only to find a pair of enemies conspiring to bring down his kingdom.

Alongside Boseman, the film boasts the likes of Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, and Daniel Kaluuya.
