Daniel Sturridgre has returned from injury and will start for Liverpool against Norwich City today. The striker has been out since April because of thigh, calf and hip problems.

Sturridge had an operation on his hip joint in May and had been in America recovering.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said before kick-off: "We now have players hopefully coming back, which will add to the squad and see us go on a run of games where we can perform well and get the victories.

"And the reality is we are only a few points off where we'd want to be and there is still a long way to go.

"It is about never getting too carried away if you win or disappointed if you lose."

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Can, Milner, Coutinho, Benteke, Sturridge.

Subs: Bogdan, Lovren, Firmino, Gomez, Lallana, Ings, Ibe.

Norwich: Ruddy; Whittaker, Martin, Bassong, Brady; Redmond, Dorrans, Tettey, Jarvis; Howson; Jerome.

Subs: Rudd, Grabban, Mbokani, Hoolahan, Olsson, R Bennett, O'Neil.
