What will be freaking you and your friends out this Halloween?
What will be freaking you and your friends out this Halloween?

It’s Halloween time again and you’ve decided that this year, instead of joining the fancy dress shop scramble for the last of the white face paint, you’ll be staying in with a scary movie.

Choosing what to watch can be a dilemma with such a huge range of horror films on offer, so it’s worth considering what you actually enjoy and what will do nothing but give you nightmares for the next month.

Not everyone can stomach the sight of someone being hacked to death, blood spraying everywhere, while others are only truly terrified by the more psychological thrillers.

Some people hate nothing more than a seemingly innocent child harbouring a secret desire to kill and if you’re anything like us, it’s jump scares that really get your heart pounding.

Take our personality quiz to find your perfect movie match:

If you want to head out rather than be terrified in your own home, it is worth looking up whether cinemas near you are putting on any Halloween screenings. Or if you're hosting a party, our spooky party playlist will help take some of the pressure off. Happy Halloween!
