He makes a quick reappearance and has been more fortunate in the draw this time.

3.40: These small-field Classic trials on this track are often run at a muddling pace and are risky betting mediums. PUTUNA has it to do on the book against today's opposition, but this filly's trainer holds her in high regard. Barry Hills appears to have quality in depth with his fillies this season and is represented here by Bristol Channel. The Godolphin string fields Shimaal, but the form of this one's fourth to Rambling Rose at Nottingham in September has not been franked since. HADAYIK looks the one the selection must beat. Peter Walwyn sharpened up this filly with a second-place finish to Sadian at Bath late last month.

4.10: ALBOOSTAN ran an excellent race when failing by just a neck to give 3lb to subsequent 2,000 Guineas third Border Arrow in the Feilden Stakes at Newmarket. Barry Hills's colt is usually a front-runner and should be able to dictate from start to finish. High-Rise will be strongly fancied by supporters of the Luca Cumani yard. This colt won with ease at Pontefract last time, but the value of that form is hard to assess in this company.

4.40: SHUHRAH can reward the Godolphin team in the last. Successful from the very useful Ashraakat at Ascot in July, she was then third to Name Of Love in a Listed event at Newmarket in October. As long as the going does not become soft, this filly can take this prize. The chief threat is likely to come from Ikhteyaar if she is fully fit for this. Robert Armstrong's yard is running into form.
