COMEDY: GIG OF THE WEEK
You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet tomorrow
The Hen & Chickens, London N1
It sometimes seems as if the best way for a good comedian to get ahead is to masquerade as a bad comedian. Shed-loads of stand-ups are taking on the guise of washed-up entertainers. Two of the best bad comics - Count Arthur Strong and Terry Titter - are joining forces in "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet!", billed as "a stagecraft masterclass based on lifetimes in the business". Titter (played by Terry Kilkelly) is a pathetic, dipsomaniac entertainer who comes on stage swigging a bottle of vodka. Strong (Steve Delaney), is an underemployed performer whose career is a litany of "what ifs" and "if onlys".
Double bill with Divine David, The Hen & Chickens, London, N1 (0171- 704 2001) tomorrow
