Here are the biggest perfume releases of the month.

Prestige

Few fragrances are as iconic as Calvin Klein's CK One, and now there will be new flankers to the scent: CK One Shock comes in both men's and women's editions based on oriental notes.

BCBG Max Azria launches an eponymous fragrance, its first with new licensing partner New Wave Fragrances. Notes include strawberry, black cherry, kir royale, jasmine, muguet, rose, violet, musk, orris, and sandalwood.

Israeli top model Bar Refaeli fronts the ads for Especially Escada, composed of ambrette, pear, rose, ylang ylang, aquatic accord, and musk. The fragrance comes with matching body products.

Etro pays tribute to its signature pattern with new perfume Paisley that smells of bergamot, cardamom, blackcurrant leaf, ylang ylang, sambac jasmine, pink pepper, vanilla, patchouli, and ambergris.

Inspired by Givenchy's haute couture, the fashion house's new Dahlia Noir, or Black Dahlia, fragrance is named after an imaginary flower. Notes include pink pepper, mandarin, mimosa, rose, iris, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, and tonka bean.

Kenzo has united the creative forces behind its 2009 Unidentified Fragrance Object: for Madly Kenzo, Ron Arad again designed the bottle, while perfumer Aurelien Guichard came up with the composition of orange blossom, pink pepper, heliotrope, rose, frankincense, vanilla, cedar, and musk.

Spanish brand Loewe releases Quizás, Quizás, Quizás Pasión, a flanker to 2007's tango-inspired Quizás, Quizás, Quizás. Notes of bergamot, mandarin, red berries, magnolia, freesia, orange blossom, vetiver, cashmere wood, and amber are included in the fragrance.

Described as a "refreshing citrus twist on the original," Bang Bang follows Marc Jacobs's men's fragrance Bang, which was released last year. The update comes with notes of lemon, sandalwood, and cashmere musks.

Celebrity

Actress Reese Witherspoon will launch the third and last fragrance of her Expressions series with Avon: the fruity floral Live "for the woman who lives every day to the fullest" is composed of bergamot, muguet, and gardenia, and sells for $22.50.

Following her Black Star and Forbidden Rose fragrances, singer Avril Lavigne releases Wild Rose this month. As with Forbidden Rose, the flower is not actually included in the scent - instead, there are notes of mandarin, grapefruit, plum, orange blossom, blue orchid, musk, and sandalwood.

Britney Spears introduces Cosmic Radiance, a flanker to Radiance. The update features mandarin, lychee, pear, jasmine, gardenia, tuberose, peony, musk, amber, sandalwood, and vanilla.

Fresh off her win at the FiFi fragrance awards, Mary J. Blige will launch My Life Blossom, the follow-up to last year's My Life, with beauty brand Carol's Daughter on HSN August 13. For every bottle sold, one dollar will be donated to FFAWN (The Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now).
