Real Madrid could be at the centre of a transfer carousel if this morning's gossip is to be believed.

The club are apparently willing to give up on Gareth Bale, a player who cost Los Blancos a world record £87million last summer before scoring vital goals in Copa Del Rey and Champions League finals, so they can chase Chelsea's Eden Hazard.

According to the Daily Star, Manchester United will bid £90m for the Welshman, with that money being used by the Spanish giants to snare the Belgian from Stamford Bridge.

The Star also report that Ajax, Inter Milan and David Moyes' Real Sociedad will try and make a loan move for United teenager Adnan Januzaj, who has not started a game under Louis van Gaal since 8 November.

Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier, now sporting director of New York Red Bulls, is being linked with a move to Reds skipper Steven Gerrard, report the Daily Mirror.

The 34-year-old is yet to sign a new deal at Anfield and Houllier could make the former England captain a lucrative offer to join the MLS.

The same paper report that Wilfried Bony is attracting significant interest from Manchester City, but former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has urged Brendan Rodgers to make the Swansea hit man Liverpool's top target in January.

Manchester City have also had a £17.4m bid rejected by Atletico Madrid for talented young defender Jose Gimenez, according to Spanish daily AS.

The Sun, meanwhile, report that James Milner's contract talks with City have broken down, with former manager Roberto Mancini interested in a reunion at new club Inter Milan.
