Logan post-credits scene rumoured to have been added

Reports indicate three minutes of extra footage have been added since the film's premiere

Since Logan premiered on Friday, numerous exuberant reviews have appeared across the Internet praising Hugh Jackman’s latest turn as Wolverine.

As noted by many critics, there was no post-credit scene attached to the film, something that has become synonymous with superhero films.

However, reports now claim that three minutes of additional footage has been added to the X-Men spin-off - the normal length of post-credit scenes.

Could Fox have kept the post-credit sequence back until cinema release? The studio did exactly that with X-Men: Apocalypse, the film teasing Weapon X.

This is, of course, speculation, with the studio not confirming whether an additional scene has been added to the R-Rated film.

Logan is set in the near future: Jackman as said the film takes place in a "slightly different universe" to the other X-Men films.

In the film, Wolverine finds his healing factor is losing its effectiveness and he's begun to succumb to the effects of age, he attempts to hide out on the Mexican border with an ailing Professor X, though everything soon comes under risk when the young mutant arrives, pursued by dark forces.
