Martin Lewis has explained just how much parents should be saving ahead of putting their children through university.
He explained that as support schemes are means tested, is implied that parents are expected to cover the gap for living costs.
Using a graph to illustrate the amount of money needed, he showed his audience how they can assess how much they need to save.
Depending on your income, you can pinpoint your salary on his graph and it will tell you how much you need to spend to bridge the gap.
