Cardiff and Twickenham served up two Rugby World Cup quarter-fianls to remember as Australia sealed a last-minute victory over Scotland hours after Argentina demolished Ireland.

• Pool D winners Ireland beaten by Pool C runners-up Argentina 40-20
• Pumas score five tries as Irish come up short in quarter-finals yet again
• Pool A winners Australia beat Pool B runners-up Scotland 35-34
• Game ends in controversy as late penalty sees Bernard Foley give Wallabies victory
