Aaron Ramsey to replace Gareth Bale as Wales captain
Aaron Ramsey has been named as the captain of the Welsh national football team in the wake of Gareth Bale's retirement.
It will be the second time the midfielder will step up as the team's captain after also being appointed at the age of 20.
Wales boss Rob Page described the appointment as "a natural progression" as he was the vice-captain behind Bale.
He will lead the squad in the forthcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Croatia and Latvia later in March.
