Starbucks barista tries to get clever with Helen Hunt’s order, fails spectacularly

Wrong Oscar winner, guys

If you’re going to do the whole ‘let the celebrity know that you know who they are’ thing, at least make sure you’ve got the right one.

Starbucks usually asks customer their names before writing them on the side of their drink, but when Helen Hunt walked into a store they just went right ahead - labelling the cup ‘Jody’.

“Ordered my drink @Starbucks Asked the barista if she wanted my name. She winked and said. "We gotcha" #JodieFoster,” Hunt tweeted.

Not only did the barista manage to get (presumably) the wrong Academy Award winner, but they even spelled Jodie’s name wrong.

To its credit, Starbucks did quickly respond with a solid Helen Hunt movie reference apology, writing: “@HelenHunt Sorry about that! We hope the drink was still as good as it gets.”

The public’s facial recognition when it comes to celebrities is often pretty unreliable, as Seth Meyers found out during an appearance on Billy on the Street.

Jodie Foster is as uncomfortable with the rituals of celebrity as ever

Jodie Foster (that's Jodie Foster, not Helen Hunt - important distinction) lamented the lack of other female film directors in Hollywood this week.

"I guess I'm rare. I don't know why. It's a puzzlement, I have no idea," she told Digital Spy. "The film business has changed a lot since I was a kid. There were virtually no female faces when I was growing up. I never saw another woman apart from the woman who played my mum and possibly a makeup artist and that's changed a lot.

"But not in directing. For some reason mainstream Hollywood can't figure out how to create a place for women directors. So I consider myself lucky that I was able to direct this."
