Man killed in triple stabbing outside Ealing club
Two men have been arrested on
suspicion of murder
A man was stabbed to death and a
second left in a critical condition following a fight outside a west London shisha bar.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fight in Ealing and remain in custody at a south London police station.
Police were called to the scene at around 4.40am on Sunday after reports of a stabbing on Gorst Road which locals said happened following a fight outside of the alcohol free venue Lahvina.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene outside a Renault Trucks depot, up the road from the bar. Two men were were taken to hospital, where one is fighting for his life and the other has been discharged.
Next of kin have been informed and police are awaiting formal identification. A post-mortem examination is expected today.
Abed Ismail, who works at the bar, told the Evening Standard that around 70 to 100 people were at the venue on Saturday night.
“I think there was a fight outside and then it just carried on up the road. People are not allowed to drink inside but people do drink outside. I have no idea what it was about," he said.
A worker at nearby Dina Foods, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “I came into work at about 4am and there was nothing there, but I came out again at about 5am and the body was lying in the road with a red blanket over it.”
Shahab Sbet, 32, who runs a local café, said: “I heard lots of shouting and screaming like there was a huge fight for about five or ten minutes. It sounded as if there was a crowd of people and like it was quite bad. It’s absolutely shocking that someone died like that in the street.”
The Metropolitan Police has opened an incident room and is appealing for any witnesses.
