Paul Collingwood paid tribute to spin bowler Graeme Swann after he took a wicket in the first over for the 12th time for England as the tourists took control of the first Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong.

Swann added to his reputation as England finished the second day 445 runs ahead with the home side on 154 for five in reply to the tourists' 559 for six declared.

Collingwood completed his own century as England made the most of a good pitch and then reduced their opponents to 154 for five despite a resolute 81 not out from Tamim Iqbal.

Collingwood said of Swann's feat: "It's unbelievable. We do mention it as a team. It just always seems to happen."

But Collingwood warned England would have to push home the advantage.

He added on Sky Sports 2: "We are going to have to be aggressive with the ball and take our chances."

Collingwood also thanked Ian Bell for scoring 84 and contributing to a partnership of 184.

"In the afternoon me and Belly pushed on and managed to get some runs.

"We are building a good partnership together there. I enjoy batting with him. After lunch we managed to get going and put some runs on the board."
